One Delightful Summer Afternoon

One of the delights of my life is the wooded area behind my house. One afternoon, as we were relaxing inside, we noticed these three young deer exploring. They heard our moving around and looked up, determined that there was not threat and continued to graze. Eventually, they simply stepped into the trees and disappeared.

It has been "tradition" to meet up with family on our way to family vacation. This year we made the stop on our own. Everyone is getting breakfast but me. Hey, it's 1:30 already.

Yesterday was a state wide rally for education as Governor Scott, of Florida, and the Florida Legislature are preparing to address what they see as needed budget cuts and using this an excuse to advance other agendas that have been itching at them for some time.

So, now I am trying my hand at another type of blog, a picture blog. The intention is to post pictures and add comments. Some pictures will be taken from my own collection, others will be "borrowed" from sources on the web.

Ok, so I have spent the last 30 minutes searching for a good picture to add and ran into too many obstacles, including the pictures I wanted are copyrighted. Go figure. Well, I'm not giving up. Keep watching.
